The Bothy
The Bothy is a luxury, self-catering cottage nestled next to a beautiful, Grade II Listed walled garden, offering a truly unique getaway at the heart of the South Downs National Park. Renovated in 2018 and furnished to the highest standard, it is a subtle blend of home comforts and technology whilst retaining many of the original period features. Believed to date back to 1820, The Bothy was used to accommodate the farm labourers working at Coates Castle. Hidden away in a conservation area, Coates is a Downland village in the Chichester District of West Sussex, close to the picturesque village of Fittleworth. Making it an ideal location for exploring the South Downs National Park, historic market towns of Petworth, Midhurst, Arundel and Chichester and weddings at Dorset House, Fitzleroi Barn, Upwaltham Barn and Bignor Park.

Facilities
The Bothy has a well-equipped, open plan kitchen area for you to create inspiring dishes using fresh ingredients from surrounding local farm shops. The soft grey tones of the kitchen units and walls compliment the original brickwork giving it an understated but luxurious look and feel. The dining table is placed on a glass floor so that you can look into the depths of this beautiful, historic building whilst entertaining. At the other end of this enchanting room sits a log burner for cosy nights in after exploring the South Downs National Park by day.
The solid oak floor and pretty latched doors lead through to two spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom has a fresh, vintage feel and looks out across stunning countryside. It has a comfy, double bed perfect for breakfast in bed and a bath large enough for two! The twin room is suitable for adults or children, it features a Smart TV and its own ensuite bathroom with shower, WC and basin. Ideal for families or, up to four people.
Open the solid oak stable door into an acre of stunning walled garden. Cook alfresco on the decking and enjoy the sights and sounds of the countryside from your doorstep. The Bothy shares the walled garden with the yurt.

There is off road parking for 2-3 cars. Additional parking is available upon request. The nearest train station is Pulborough (10 mins). Nearest airport London Gatwick (45 mins). Ample space for a helicopter to land if you were considering flying in.

One well behaved pet is welcome.
