The Yurt

Inspired by one of my favourite guests, Granny Mongolia, this Mongolian Yurt is beautiful, romantic and luxurious.  As you enter the yurt (or Ger, as Granny Mongolia calls it) you will feel a sense of calm, cosiness & grounding. The roundness of the yurt feels safe, reassuring and almost womb-like. Situated in a stunning walled garden, surrounded by countryside and historic woodland, this space is ideal for people who love the outdoors and dream of a nomadic lifestyle.  You can walk to Lords Piece, Coates Common heathlands SSSI and reconnect with nature within a few minutes. The bohemian chic decor of the yurt is sumptuous and cosy, with Mongolian wool cushions, Mongolian artefacts (gifted to me by Granny Mongolia), historic family furniture, antique rugs, soft bedding and blankets to snuggle up.

From £195 per night

Bed linen and towels are included in your stay.

Check-in 3pm. Check-out 11am.

Facilities

Living space

The yurt offers an enchanting, nomadic experience you will never forget – with a few modern comforts including electricity, log burning stove and a fridge. It has a detachable roof for star gazing or sun worshipping. Its my favourite place to take time to reconnect with myself and my world.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

The yurt has a comfy kingsize bed and a spacious outdoor bathroom with shower and eco-friendly, waterless composting toilet.

Outside Space

Sit back, relax and enjoy a sundowner or, practice yoga on the decking. Followed by an alfresco lunch in the outdoor, garden dining room and maybe a walk.  Outside there is also a handbuilt outdoor kitchen with a gas hob, fridge, butler sink, wine rack & small seating area. The outside kitchen leads onto the covered, outdoor dining room with ample space to seat upto eight.  The outside space features many interesting objects from the owners house and the surrounding countryside. The yurt shares the one acre of walled garden with the Bothy.
